We have seen strong top line revenue growth in the past four years with revenue continuing to be a key company goal. Due to this year’s market volatility and consumer behavior, ADAY is also aiming to achieve profitability in the next 12 months. A key focus of the new Board member will be to help with this growth process.
ADAY seeks an Independent Board member with experience in running and scaling a consumer business to join its current board, made up of the founders and investors. They will be closely involved in helping ADAY achieve its growth aims, providing advice and wisdom to the founders and senior leadership team.
ADAY aims to achieve profitability within the next 12 months and seeks to grow at an order of magnitude beyond that. In order to best contribute to this journey, the new Independent Director will:
Prior experience growing a consumer product-led business from the $10m to the $100m mark
Advise on how best to approach the key challenges and prioritization decisions central o profitability
Advise on best practice in effectively scaling operations (marketing supply-chain and inventory optimization pricing and strategies) and driving profitable growth
Prior experience preparing a business and delivering an exit event (though exit is not a short-term priority for ADAY's investors)
Advise on making business attractive to potential acquirers, for example by driving EBITDA generation, and on developing successful exit strategies
Have a good understanding of sustainable practices and an overall commitment to sustainability, as it is central to the mission of the brand
Experience in the direct-to-consumer or e-commerce space or achieving this growth through otherwise direct channels is a plus
Experience in a C-level commercial role leading a consumer products business through scale-up spanning the revenue range $10 million to at least $100 million
Experience in a customer-facing leadership role of driving significant revenue growth, able to demonstrate having played a central role in growing revenues by an order of magnitude
Operational efficiency improvement
Board meetings will be held virtually. The time commitment expectation for this role is <1 day per month. Compensation will include equity.
